The training programme is for everyone needing to build the skills and understanding to manage, monitor and improve the conditions for workers in global supply chains. In particular, it is designed for staff within retailing and supplier companies who are responsible for implementing codes of practice on supply chain labour conditions, and for trade union and NGO representatives who promote ethical trade. The programme comprises four workshops which will help participants build the foundations of a sound ethical trade policy and strategy, and support them in addressing the more challenging and emerging aspects of ethical trade. The workshops take place throughout 2008/09.
