C-Scaipe and the Steering Group for Sustainability will be holding their international conference 'Sustainability in Practice, From Local to Global: Making a Difference' at Kingston University from the 6th/7th of Sept 2007.

The rhetoric of Sustainable Development has become very familiar but to what extent have the words of politicians, business leaders and educators made a difference? Has practice moved on - what has worked and where should our main efforts now be focused? The Sustainability in Practice conference will explore these issues making special reference to practical achievements and change. The focus of the conference will not be the fashion industry but it will be touched upon and the keynote speakers include Clare Lissaman, Ethical Trading Consultant for Adili.
