TUTOR TRAINING: Initiatives to Improve Working Conditions in the Garment Industry
This tutor training session is a unique opportunity to meet and hear from Marsha Dickson, President and Founder of the U.S. network of tutors, Educators for Socially Responsible Apparel Business, which is similar to FEI.
Monday 17th of September 2:30 to 5pm, Development House, 56 - 64 Leonard St, London.
The tutor training will look at:
- the Fair Labor Association and its role as a multi-stakeholder initiative in working to improve working conditions. FLA members include Nike, Adidas, Umbro, Asics, Puma and US fashion retailers such as Liz Claiborne, Phillips-Van Heusen Corporation, H&M and Eddie Bauer.
- exploring potential collaboration by universities in the UK and USA on research/education, possible student exchanges, etc.

Marsha is also on the board of the Fair Labor Association, a multi-stakeholder initiative like the Ethical Trading Initiative.
