During the last decade, major high-street fashion companies have begun to address working conditions in their supply chains. Designers and fair trade companies have started to take up the challenge of sourcing more ethically. Some progress has been made. Where does the fashion industry go from here to improve working conditions?
Ex-garment workers from Nicaragua, representatives from major companies (Gap, Next and Topshop), fair trade companies and industry specialists share their visions of an ethical fashion industry. The event will also feature an exclusive exhibition of the ‘The Clothes She Wears' by social sculptor Siobhan Wall.
