Topshop or Sweatshop?

It has been reveled that migrant workers in Mauritius are being paid around 40p an hour to make Kate Moss's Topshop range. Their wage is a stark contrast to the 3 million reportable paid to Kate Moss by Philip Green, the owner of Topshop, for designing the range.  The workers are recruited from India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka and are promised wages up to five times higher in Mauritius than they would receive in their own country. They pay up to £725 to get the job, equivalent to seven months' earnings and once in Mauritius are paid 40% below the local average wage.
