Asian Floor Wage Campaign Launched

Garment workers in Asia desperately need their wages to be increased. But often, when workers win their struggle to improve their wages and conditions in one country, companies relocate to countries where wages are lower and conditions are worse. An initiative based in six countries, the Asian Floor Wage seeks to address this challenge.

The Campaign is demanding a floor wage for garment workers in Asia. The floor wage would different in each country's national currency, but have the power to buy the same set of goods and services in all countries.
