Katherine Hamnett Pulls Out of Tesco Range

After only a year Katherine Hamnett has pulled out of a deal with Tesco to supply organic and Fairtrade clothing to the supermarket.  Ms Hamnett said that " I've come to the conclusion that [Tesco] simply wants to appear ethical, rather than make a full commitment to the range... the Choose Love range it is only available in 40 stores and the merchandising is non-existent."

Tesco, like many other companies, has launched high-profile ethical ranges this year. Are these initiatives just 'green wash' or do they prove companies genuine commitment to improving ethics within the industry?
