(2008) Fashion Design

Several theory classes cover aspects of the industry focusing on corporate social responsibility and ethics. The  sustainability of systems and methods, environmental impact and ecological footprint, organics and sustainable fabrics etc are covered during lectures, seminars and external visits. The subject is covered within 3 hour theory classes over a few weeks. Issues are not separated out as projects ask students to consider some aspect of ethics and sustainability in their work.

Postgraduate

(2008) Creative Fashion Design

All aspects of ethics are covered including corporate social responsibility. Sustainability is a core feature of the course, focusing on systems, methodologies, manufacture and human relationship with product. It offers in particular creative cut as a proposal to sustainability. Ethics and sustainability is intrinsic, offered through three hour lectures, seminars, workshops, external visits and visiting designers.

(2008) Marketing and Merchandising

Several theory classes cover aspects of the industry focusing on corporate social responsibility ethics. The sustainability of systems and methods, environmental impact and ecological footprint, organics and sustainable fabrics etc are covered during lectures, seminars, external visits. Ethical marketing strategies are explored. The subject is taught over three hour theory classes over a few weeks. Issues are not separated out as projects ask students to consider some aspect of ethics and sustainability in their work.
